Raw Couture is a handbag project developed to challenge overconsumption and overproduction within the fashion industry. Each bag is handmade using unwanted clothing and materials destined for landfill. Individual components are carefully woven together to form the base of the bag, then assembled with handles and hardware, transforming discarded items into functional, thoughtfully designed objects.

By treating waste as raw material, the project adds new layers of design, texture, and colour to extend the product lifecycle. Every bag carries a unique history and personality, reframing sustainability as both a creative and narrative process where reuse becomes a means of storytelling and renewal.

The project was showcased in a self-organised exhibition, where I managed the curation, installation, and presentation of the collection.
