This anodised aluminium plate is created using the traditional metalworking technique of raising. A flat sheet of aluminium is heated and hand-hammered into a bowl form, developing a natural, wood-like texture through the process. The form is then cut into a triangular shape and anodised in black, creating a rich, burnt finish that highlights the material’s depth and surface detail. The piece explores the balance between raw process, material transformation, and refined presentation.
